Diwali For Kids: Why We Celebrate Diwali, the Festival of Lights

I am so excited to share some wonderful news with you! My new children’s book, Diwali For Kids: Why We Celebrate Diwali, the Festival of Lights, has just been published and is now available on Amazon USA and Amazon UK.

This project has been a true labor of love. As a parent and a storyteller, I wanted to create something special for children that not only celebrates Diwali but also explains the meaning and traditions behind it in a way that is simple, engaging, and fun.

Why I Wrote Diwali For Kids

Diwali is one of the most important festivals celebrated in India and by millions of people across the world. It is also known as the Festival of Lights, a time when families come together to clean their homes, decorate with rangoli, light little clay lamps called diyas, share sweets, exchange gifts, and enjoy fireworks.

But Diwali is more than just lights and sweets. It is a festival filled with stories, values, and traditions that teach children about hope, kindness, togetherness, and the victory of good over evil.

I realized that while there are many books about Christmas, Easter, and other world holidays available for children, there were far fewer that explain Diwali in a clear, kid-friendly way. That’s where the idea for this book came from to give children a chance to learn about Diwali through beautiful illustrations and simple storytelling.

Assamese Numbers 1 to 100

Assamese is an Indo-Aryan language spoken mainly in Assam, a beautiful state in northeast India known for its tea gardens, the mighty Brahmaputra River, and the famous Kaziranga National Park. Learning Assamese numbers is very useful if you are visiting Assam, interacting with locals, or simply interested in the culture. Numbers are an essential part of daily life-whether you are shopping in a local market, traveling, or studying. Below is the complete list of Assamese numbers from 1 to 100 with their English equivalents.

The study of Assamese numerals also reveals important insights into the broader linguistic landscape of Northeast India, where multiple language families converge and influence each other. Understanding these numbers provides a window into how the Assamese-speaking community conceptualizes quantity, measurement, and mathematical relationships within their cultural framework.

Hinduism For Kids: Beliefs And Practices

Hinduism For Kids: Beliefs And Practices

I am very pleased to welcome you to Hinduism for Kids: Beliefs and Practices. This book is especially written for children, parents, and teachers who want to explore Hinduism in a way that is clear, simple, and enjoyable.

Hinduism is not only one of the world’s oldest religions, but it is also one of the richest in terms of traditions, stories, practices, and values. It is a faith that has shaped cultures for thousands of years and continues to inspire millions of people across the globe. However, for many children, learning about Hinduism can sometimes feel overwhelming or confusing. My goal in writing this book was to make these ideas accessible - to explain important beliefs and practices in a way that young minds can understand, relate to, and enjoy.
