My new India travel guide book now on Amazon

I am excited to announce my new India travel guide book. After the success of my other guide books on India, I thought another one was due. It is now finally available on Amazon both in the kindle and paperback format. The book is called, “Essential India Travel Guide: Travel Tips And Practical Information”. Obviously, for the kindle format you will need a kindle reader. Currently, the “Kindle Paperwhite“, is the most popular while the Kindle Fire HDX 8.9″ Tablet is latest one and selling like hot cakes on Amazon. Just take a look at the number of reviews it has.

Out There: The Goa Vibe

India has long been a favourite among holidaymakers across the globe and Goa in particular has captured the popular imagination. The country’s smallest state, this west coast idyll offers sun, sand, culture and sumptuous cuisine. It is not just tourists from Europe, America and other far-flung destinations who are making the trip there either. Increasingly, middle-class Indians are flocking to Goa’s beaches and coconut groves to lap up the relaxed atmosphere on offer in the state.

Benefits of Booking a Package Holiday

Travelling can offer you the chance to get some sun, relax and experience new adventures all at the same time. However, just how you like to explore and travel is more of a personal decision. You may like to plan each detail of the holiday yourself, right down to where you’ll first taste the local grub, or you may prefer to have someone else organise the trip for you. All-inclusive holidays are becoming more and more popular for various reasons. Let’s take a look at some of these:

 Convenience

Package holidays are without a doubt the easier way to go. Holiday companies will book your flights, airport transfers and hotel for you, and include all your snacks, drinks and meals throughout your stay. You can grab your passport and board your flight, knowing you’ll have a completely stress-free holiday.

Package holiday deals are aplenty; you just have to choose the one that’s right for you. Holiday companies will offer packages designed for couples seeking a romantic getaway or for families with small children. When you book a package holiday you are paying for the expertise of a group of people who know the holiday destination better than you do. They will do the organising so all you have to do is show up and enjoy yourself.

 Cost

All-inclusive or even half-board holidays can work out cheaper than if you were to book each step of the journey yourself. Eating and drinking out alone will drive your holiday budget up whereas going all-inclusive means your meals, and often your drinks, are included in the price of the holiday.

Tickets to popular shows and activities whilst on holiday can also work out cheaper if you book a package holiday. Holiday companies can often buy tickets in bulk, resulting in a cheaper price per ticket than if you were to book your own.

 Protection

The Air Travel Operator’s License ensures those who book package holidays are protected from losing your money or being stranded abroad. In other words, if a company goes bust, you will be reimbursed. If you were to book each step of the journey yourself, however, you’d be subject to each hotel and tour operator’s rules for reimbursement.

In terms of safety on site, top rated all inclusive resorts are required to be safe, secure facilities. Everything you need or could want is right there for you. You might just get so comfortable there you find it hard to leave!

 Good for Families

Finally, if you are planning a holiday for the whole family, or even for an extended family reunion, definitely consider a package deal. You can get everyone together in one place, for all your meals and entertainment, without the need for extensive planning. All-inclusive resorts have activities suitable for all ages, so young children and adults alike will have a good time.

So, with the convenience, price and security of a package holiday, why choose anything else?

Monkey show in India

When in India, you will find people doing tricks on the road involving animals of which monkey tricks are the most common. I am not sure if you know that the word monkey is a general word for a variety of species of monkeys.  In fact, they are primates that include apes and prosimians such as lemur and humans. There are 13 species of monkeys in India of which the ‘Common Langur’ is the most abundant. They are also known as the ‘Hanuman Langur’ and they are purely vegetarian. In fact, these langurs are everywhere. You’ll even find these in the city of Agra where the Taj Mahal is situated.

Find a place to stay in India

If you have been to India before you probably have a pretty good idea of how to prepare for the trip and all the things you need to bear in mind beforehand.

One of the things to take into account is the accommodation. How does that work? Where am I going to stay? Can I make it on a low budget?

Find a place to stay in India

Don’t worry, there are thousands of options out there. You can start by looking anywhere you like, including all sorts of accommodation ads in India. It all depends on your budget, how much time you are expecting to spend at the hotel, whether you are travelling alone or with kids, etc. Backpackers for instance sometimes wonder if cheap places in India are worth staying at. The answer is yes. You can find all kinds of great budget accommodation anywhere you go, and of course some will be slightly more basic than others, but they are perfectly fine and not everybody can afford an expensive hotel anyway.

It many not always be easy to find the most decent option, but you need to also stop to take a look around and realize that every city is different: some are noisy, some are quiet, some are cheap and others may seem more expensive. If you go to a coastal city, you are likely to find all kinds of beach hotels with rooms for you to stay. There are also houseboats available, bungalows, guesthouses, etc. But you probably will find a completely different type of accommodations if you decide to go to the mountains.

The fact is that anywhere you go, leaving aside your budget, you can easily find the best place for you to stay if you take a look around in advance, check different options and try to keep an open mind. Maybe even forget about booking ahead and give negotiating a go.

That is what travelling is all about!
